I have the best clients in the world. And yes, I know, I say that all the time… but I can’t help it. It’s so true! So, get ready for a long post, I have a feeling I’m going to not only post a lot of photos, but write a lot too.
I first met with Sarah and her and Greg’s mothers what now seems like AGES ago! And without having done any engagement photos I don’t always now what to expect when I walk into a wedding with people you have barely met… However, from the moment I arrived at The Williamsburg Lodge where the bridal party was getting ready, they all welcomed me in like I had seen them yesterday. This is only the first of a huge long list of amazing qualities that are part of Sarah and Greg, and after witnessing both of their amazing parents and families, it wouldn’t surprise anyone. Both are amazingly close to their entire family. Sarah to her Mom and Dad (who I think almost wanted to steal the altar afterwards to renew their own vows
) and sister, and Greg to his parents and 3 brothers. Both of them have had amazing role models of which they will base their own marriage and I can’t wait to see them as they grow in their own family.
The marriage took place at St. Bede’s in Williamsburg where their close family friend, Fr. Scott from the Arlington Diocese came down to say their wedding. He did an amazing job and said one of the most beautiful weddings ever. I also personally loved when he mentioned that in a few minutes, Greg’s chances of becoming yet ANOTHER Pope Gregory was going to severely diminish
After what would prove to be one of the easiest and most relaxing (for me) formal sessions in the church, we all headed to Fords Colony for more photos and the reception. The father of the bride gave the best toast I have ever heard, The groom gave the bride and guests the best toast I have ever heard, the food was top notch, the cake gorgeous, and most importantly, everyone had an amazing time. The song list was the best I have heard and kept the dance floor full the entire night. They had The Janitors play and what a night they helped provide! They seriously did an amazing job! The whole night was an obvious celebration between family and friends. I could go on talking about how fun it was to watch Sarah’s mom dance to Soulja Boy or any of the other amazing parts of the night, but I think it’s time to introduce to the newlyweds.
